Christine StewartChristine Stewart has been working in glass for over twenty years. Initially her focus was in Stained Glass. Christine's career included private commissions, architectural installations and ecclesiastic restoration. Her creative journey progressed into Glass Mosaics and Glass Fusing and now specialises in Dichroic Art Glass Techniques. Christine is also the author of five art glass design books with CKE Publications, one of the world’s largest publishers of art glass books. Christine travels to the USA annually teaching art glass techniques at The “Glass Craft Expo Convention” in Las Vegas and also for several major art glass retailer’s and suppliers. Early in 2007 she was the recipient of a prestigious award - 1st Place, Professional Section, Mosaics at the Glass Craft Expo in USA, and in 2008 was awarded both First & Second Place in Professional Mosaics in the USA. It was during these travels that Christine discovered Dichroic Glass and learnt the techniques used to create the “Glass of Fire” jewellery range. She became captivated by its shimmering electric colours and characteristic shift in colour. Christine developed and explored the technical process required to fire the kilns ultimately producing a range of dichroic fused glass jewellery - a diverse range of unique innovative designs of exceptional depth and clarity, colours dancing and shimmering like fire at every angle! “Glass of Fire” …….
