Sarah Lyttle

Flossy-p calls herself an illustration artist. She looks for inspiration in things that occur around her. 

She transcribes these fundamental concepts, unique moments, personal experiences or simple pleasures back onto paper using watercolour and pencil, almost always adopting forms of portraiture to tell the story.

She enjoys challenging people's perception of what illustration traditionally is and where it ís usually found, blurring the boundaries of art. French Post-Impressionism, European Medieval, through to the Lowbrow, Pop-Surrealism and newly coined Remodernism movements excite her the most. Along with these she includes street artists, and the current online illustration community among her greatest inspirations.

Last year flossy-p sea-changed from Sydney to Emerald Beach and has since been documenting all of her new discoveries from the area into her recent works.

She holds a degree in Fine Arts from COFA, frequently exhibits in the USA, has appeared in local press, featured on numerous websites, and in 2008 was selected among 100 female illustrators from around the world to be included in the Curvy Annual. The real name of flossy-p is Sarah Lyttle, but she works under the parasol of a pseudonym.
